Counting on hard times
I finally figured out why Evi often starts counting on the number 3.
Sierra, encountering a situation she's unhappy about: I don't WANT to...!
Evi: pee, pour, pive, picks, DAV-an, eight, nine, TEN!, LAV-an, palve, pir-teen, pour-teen... DAV-an!
It's always back to seven after fourteen--it's halarious. Maybe she's already dividing by two??
Today was Evi's 2nd birthday (!!!) We had a small party for her on the weekend when the Sutters were visiting us from Ithaca. Today we went out for ice cream and gave her a few more gifts. It was also Sierra's last day of preschool for the year and she was anxious to have her classmates sing to Evi, so I arrived a bit early before pickup and her whole class sang Happy Birthday.
On birthdays we take the girls down to the basement and measure them on a post down there where previous owners of the house have left the "growing" marks of their kids. Now we're adding ours in. Since the last time we measured (January--Sierra's b'day) both of the girls have grown several inches. It's crazy!
