The potty buzz

When we got back from our summer travels we decided to put the potty chair in the bathroom so Sierra would start to get used to seeing it. She has been coming in when we use the bathroom and sitting on her potty chair, just with her clothes on. She's pretty into it, and so we figured when she showed interest we'd let her try to actually use it.

This morning she motioned like she usually does when she has a dirty diaper, but when we checked she was still clean. Jonathan thought it might be a good time to try the "real thing" with her and sure enough, she did her job right in the potty! She was a bit mystified and not totally sold on it at first, but when we were praising her and encouraging her, I think at some point she decided that she was quite proud of herself about the whole thing. It's not happening every time or anything, but she did use the potty to pee this afternoon, so it's definitely starting to make an impression on her.
