Resourcefulness

Yesterday we were out helping Grandma and Grandpa build a railing for their new stairwell up to the deck. At one point Grandpa needed all the balusters to be brought into the garage so that he could saw them to the correct length. Sierra was able to carry one or two at a time, so she was helping me carry them load by load into the garage. Our "route" took us right by the washer and dryer and the next thing you know, Sierra was pushing one of the laundry hampers over to the stack of boards. She wanted to load them all in the hamper at once. I decided this was fairly brilliant, so we loaded them in and carried them to the garage like that. When we appeared in the garage, Grandpa exclaimed, "Wow! That was a smart idea!" I was proud to announce that it had been Sierra's idea and he was very impressed!
