Bye Bye Denver

On our way out to the West Coast this past time, we flew through Denver. When we took off from the airport there to head to Portland we had a window seat and so Sierra and I were waving out of the window and saying, "Bye Bye, Denver" which she was able to say quite clearly. I didn't think much of it until our trip back home, when we also had a stopover in Denver. As we were flying in, I looked out the window and saw that there was a bit of snow on the ground, so just in passing I mentioned to Jonathan that it looked like Denver had gotten a bit of snow a few days ago. Sierra was on my lap and she jerked around quick as a flash saying, "Denver? Denver?" She was so excited! When we flew out a bit later, she again was saying "Bye, Bye, Denver" over and over again. Between there and home we looked out the window a lot and all the towns that we saw, she always wanted to know whether or not they were Denver. Even today, a couple of days later, I was saying something about this on the phone to someone and she heard me say "Denver" and got all excited! I hope this does not mean that she's going to become a Broncos fan, because this might entail some serious personal safety risks for her, given that she lives in Pittsburgh!! :-)
