Potty update

We've done a bit of a 180 on the potty thing. Sierra decided that she was ready to start using the potty, however, she refused to even try it during the day and would only agree to do it during the night. She was getting quite good at it, actually, and would be pretty reliable about using the potty when we would get her up. However, it soon became apparent that she was enjoying the fact that we were up with her in the night more than it had anything to do with going to the potty. The last couple of nights we spent a couple of hours in the evening and then also an hour or so in the middle of the night, repeatedly going to the potty (only a fraction of the times successful). We decided that we needed to put this project on hold until she is willing to try it during the day and so we put away the potty chairs until a later date. She was a bit unhappy when we told her a day or so ago, but last night she went down to bed with no fuss, which is her usual routine (we were actually shocked but relieved!) so I think it was with minimal ill effect that we decided to postpone the efforts until later.
