La la la.......blah blah blah

It's so interesting for me to see how fast Evi is picking up words. Sierra sort of waited a long time and then went from 0 to 60 in about 2 weeks (well, not quite, but it seemed like it at the time). In retrospect, Sierra was such a sleeper, and even when she was awake, she was such an independent explorer, that I ended up practicing a lot while she was crawling around and playing. So between all the music and all of her sleeping, she didn't really hear all that much talking in the first year or so of her life. At least by comparison with what Evi has been exposed to. First of all, Evi sleeps (during the day) less than half as much as Sierra did at this age, and furthermore, when she's awake, Sierra is talking NONSTOP and of course I'm also conversing with her, so Evi has been hearing way more conversation.

I guess it's not surprising that Sierra sings everything wherever she goes, and that Evi is talking sooner.

And she babbles in word-like sounds constantly. I'm sure she's saying more stuff, but I just haven't figured it out yet.
