Heavy sleepers

Yesterday the most massive storm that I have ever seen in my life hit our neighborhood. When I saw the wind and the rain I ran to the front window because the 5 story trees across the street looked like they might get ripped out of the ground and blow away. The thunder and lightning were constant and right over us, and it sounded like there was a train going by. I guess it's possible that we were in the middle of a tornado (there was a tornado warning in our area, although later they said they didn't think it actually touched down). I had been standing at the front window in amazement, and hoping that our house wouldn't blow apart when the tree in our neighbors' yard which was not massive, but definitely taller than their 3-story house, just snapped and came crashing down in a tangle of electrical wires and a big eruption of sparks. Luckily no fire started. I had just put Sierra down for her nap about 5 or 10 minutes before all this started and I kept debating whether I should go get her out of her room. Since she didn't seem in immediate danger, and since I didn't want to instill fear in her from the storm (so far she hasn't really seemed scared of thunder) I opted to not go back in her room, figuring that if she got scared, she would call me. As it turned out, both she and Evi slept right through the whole thing and I never heard a peep from either of them!
