Fish burial

We did end up losing several fish with the overfeeding incident, and this morning before breakfast we took Sierra outside and buried them in a special spot--hoping that she would connect with what had happened better if we made a little ceremony of it. While we were doing it she seemed to just want to run around and goof off, so we weren't sure if it was having any impact, but at breakfast she seemed really somber so I asked if she was sad. She said, "Yes, I'm sad because the clown fish are at the bottom of the hole." Then later in the day she said again, "I fed the fish too much and I'm sad."
