Rock on!

We just finished building the rock walls in our newly redone courtyard behind our house. Sierra was obviously absorbing the language we were using as we built because she was walking along the capstones yesterday and announced, "These rocks are very stable!"

We had also decided to put a sandbox in for the kids in the spot where later we will add a pond and possibly a waterfall once they get a bit older. We were explaining this to someone, telling them that we would add this stuff later, and Sierra piped up, "I want a water feature RIGHT NOW!" Despite the fact that she can say "water feature" we are still moving ahead with the sandbox plan, as that is predicted to be more popular (not to mention safer) at this point in time.
